Is your company eligible? Facilities and Post House Company Development support
Skillset has committed to invest a total budget of £30,000 in the delivery of Company Development training grants in 2011-12.
Small to medium facilities companies and post houses can apply for a Company Development grant if they can demonstrate a need for training for particular staff in order to meet their short to medium term business goals.

Company Development Funding Programme - Facilities and post house support
This
scheme is to support training in skills which will be used on feature
and documentary productions within the next 18 months and aims to meet
high end skills needs in the following areas:
- VFX
- Compositing
- Animation
- CGI
- Graphics

- Editing
- Sound
- Digital film
- 3D
|
It
is acknowledged that employed and freelance staff may work on a number
of projects spanning film, TV and commercials, however applications to
this fund must demonstrate that beneficiaries will be:
- working on a specified feature or documentary within 12 months of their training
- existing professionals with at least two credits
Training can be delivered anytime between April 2011 and March 2012 and can be delivered via any of the following methods:
- Bespoke training delivered by software providers
- 1-2-1 training
- Short courses
Who can apply to this programme?
- Organisations (not individuals) can apply for Company Development support in 2011-12.
- Organisations must:
- be small to medium-sized companies with a minimum of 3 employees and a maximum of 250;
- be independent companies working within the UK film industry;
- be able to demonstrate commitment to diversity;
- be
able to demonstrate a commitment to expanding and developing their
businesses and show how this training grant will enable them to remain
competitive;
- be able to demonstrate a commitment to developing their employees/freelancers;
- have a registered office in the UK.
- Companies which received Skillset Company Development support before April 2009 can now reapply under this funding programme to be supported again.
Who cannot apply to this programme?
- Individuals
cannot apply for funding under this scheme.
- Organisations which are not independent companies within the UK film industry cannot be supported under this funding programme.
- Companies which received Company Development support from Skillset after April 2009 cannot reapply under this funding programme.

Companies that apply for this funding must also meet specific requirements around Diversity and the Evaluation of
the training programme. Please refer to the funding programme document

familiar with the Equality Act that was introduced in October 2010. You
